Background[]

Taiga was a Name Bearer with three years of service in the Eighty-Sixth Sector. He was stationed in the Southern Front's Eighth Ward when the Legion invaded the Republic.

After a two-month siege, Taiga, with the remaining Eighty-Six, was rescued by the Federacy forces from the Republic's grasp.

Following his rescue, Taiga volunteered to join the newly established Eighty-Sixth Strike Package and attended the Special Officers Academy for the next six months.

Volume 4: Under Pressure[]

Front Toward Enemy

As one of the seven Processor commanders, Taiga was present during Colonel Vladilena Milizé's briefing on the Recapture Operation of Charité. However, unlike the rest of the Strike Package, he and his Squadron were assigned as an escort detail for Major Henrietta von Penrose.

When the Spearhead Squadron secured the first floor of Charité's underground central terminal, Taiga, Major Penrose, and the Phalanx Squadron deployed and began their separate assignment. His superior, Captain Shinei Nouzen, would caution Taiga of the Eintagsfliege's suspicious activity and advised him to keep his guard up, which Taiga assumed was overcautious but considered it.

A fair distance from the ongoing operation, Taiga and the Phalanx Squadron set up a defensive perimeter near some ruins where Major Penrose began her investigation. He instructed the Major to retreat to the unit should any danger occur.

Soon after, a group of Dragoon Type Legion attacked them.

Taiga ordered Phalanx to engage the enemy and his deputy, Aina, to retrieve Major Penrose before being annihilated by an unknown assailant. Taiga then witnessed how his whole Squadron was wiped out one after another before succumbing to the same fate.

Relationships[]

Aina[]

Taiga's deputy and most loyal comrade, she served alongside him for several years.

Shinei Nouzen[]

Taiga never knew his superior personally, yet respected him and marveled how the voices of the Legion hadn't broken Shin's sanity.

Henrietta von Penrose[]

Although she was considered an Alba who oppressed the Eighty-Six, Taiga considered her a good person.

Quotes[]

  • "Second Lieutenant Asuha here. As she said, the Phalanx squadron is rolling out." ― Taiga reporting over the Resonance.
