After the First Great Offensive, he was fired from his position in the military and stripped of his rank.
Appearance[]
Sanders is an middle-aged man who has short silver hair and silver eyes of an Alba. He sports a goatee and is often seen with red cheeks as a result of his drinking habits.
While on duty, he wears the Republic's standard Prussian blue male dress uniform, with officer shoulder and collar tabs that denote his rank as a Second Lieutenant. His uniform is often unkempt and dirtied with stains because of his negligence and the lack of proper care.
In the winter section of Episode 23, he is seen wearing dirty civilian clothing consisting a blue grey winter jacket which implies that he has been fired from the military.
Personality[]
Sanders is shown to agree with the majority of the Alba population in regards of the Eighty-Six, viewing them as non-human. As he is often berating and mocking Lena, he prefers to drink on the job rather than putting in more effort in his occupation as a Handler. He is often seen drunk along with his friends.
In Episode 23, it is revealed that he is also a hypocrite. When he was standing near a foodstand that was handing out food for refugees who survived the onslaught of the Legion in the First Offensive, he called out to the Giad soldiers who were handing out food as he accused them for giving more food to a Alba child compared to himself.

In Episode 16. On the 25th of August—the night of the Large-Scale Offensive—Sanders is seen again with his friends, drinking and laughing when an alarm goes off, asking what the alarm is about and asking if it was from a movie, In reality it was that the Gran Mur has fallen to the Morpho.[4]
Sanders is seen again in Episode 23, having survived the Large-Scale Offensive alongside his friends. He was seen standing in line wearing civilian clothing waiting for food that were handed out by soldiers of the Federacy of Giad. Abilities[]
With the rank of Second Lieutenant and being a Handler, Sanders has the ability to coordinate the processors under his command and provide tactical support during combat against the Legion on paper. However in reality just like with many Handlers within the San Magnolian Military he is shown to be incompetent and completely neglecting his duties as a Handler.
