This Unnamed Republic Military Instructor is an original character introduced in the 86 -Eighty Six- anime series.
He served as a military instructor for the San Magnolia Armed Forces, where he was tasked with educating the young recruits about their future assignments as handlers.[2]
Appearance[]
This military Instructor is an elderly man who has short silver hair and eyes of an alba. He is also seen wearing glasses and having slight wrinkles on his face due to his elderly age.
While on duty, he is seen wearing the Republic's standard Prussian blue and white male dress uniform, with open collars and a black tie. His uniform also include officer shoulder and a collar tab to denote his rank as a major.
Personality[]
He is depicted as having an on the book, head down and a cowardly personality as well as a sign of patrotism and nationalism. As he was reading all of the information in a standard book as well as looking rather bored while giving the lecture. However, he is also seen to be somewhat of a coward as he kept exchanging small glances toward the military police officer whose job was to make sure that the instructor wasn’t lecturing the students about subjects that the government may don’t want the population to know.
When Lena interrupted the instructor and educated the new recruits about the Eighty-Six being human, the instructor fiercely reminded her that she cannot say stuff like that as it might get both of them into trouble.
It is also safe to assume that he shares the same believes of that the majority of the Alba population carries in regards of the Eighty-Six. As he has stated that the Eighty-Six looked like humans, but aren't.
Background[]
His upbringing is largely unknown, however at some point in time he joined the San Magnolia military and became an instructor for new and aspiring handlers.
He was first seen in Episode 2, where he was lecturing the new handler recruits in a large classroom, where he gave them a brief history on how the war started, nine years ago and their jobs as handlers as well as stating their jobs will only last for two years, due to their general belief that the last of the Legion would shut down around that time. By stating that the Republic's own autonomous units, the M1A4 Juggernauts were superior to the Legion. Only for this statement to be interrupted by Major Vladilena Milizé, who stated that people did have died. Shocking the class as well as the instructor, leaving him shocked and speechless at first, before introducing her to the class as a handler command and control officer who would like to speak with the class.
When Lena proceeded to give her lecture that the Eighty-Six were in fact human and that the Republic robbed them of their human rights, the instructor fiercely reminded her that she shouldn't say stuff that as he warned her in advance that she shouldn't say anything that makes it sounds that she is siding with them. Lena replied with a question to the instructor, asking what the colors of their flag mean. When Lena answered that question herself. The instructor angrily reminded her that it only applies to humans, stating that the Eighty-Six look human, but they are not and that he won't allow her to misinform his students.
Abilities[]
As being an instructor he is able to stand in front of a large crowd and able to teach students. His rank indicates that he has a certain degree of military knowledge, however, this can also be because of nepotism.
