Olivia Aegis (オリヴィア・アイギス, Orivia Aigisu?) is a secondary supporting character in the 86 -Eighty Six- series introduced in Mist.

His Personal Name is Anna Maria (アンナマリア, Annamaria?).

Olivia is a melee specialist Stollenwurm Pilot from the Alliance of Wald. He acts as the Armée Furieuse Instructor for the Eighty-Sixth Strike Package.

Appearance[]

Olivia has the ink-black hair of a Jet and the blue eyes of a Sapphira. As he keeps his hair long, he was able to be mistaken as a female by Lena; his feminine Personal Name certainly did not help the matter either.

Personality[]

Olivia is an upbeat person despite his past, able to bring cheer to the Strike Package's 1st Armored Division during their training sessions. Olivier fights in the memory of his deceased fiancée that was taken by the Legion. His long hair which he refuses to cut, his perfume which was his fiancée's favorite, and his feminine Personal Name, is all in the memory of her. He believes it is his right and duty to put her to rest if she had been assimilated, which is why he tried to become acquainted with Shin.

Abilities[]

Future Sight[]

Due to his Sapphira noble blood, Olivia is able to see into the future for three seconds as far as several dozen meters. This ability is taxing for him to use for long periods of time. The ability does not activate on its own and must be consciously activated.[1]

Combat Skill[]

Olivia is a melee-combat specialist, able to use the mountainous terrain of the Alliance to his advantage in swiftly engaging the Legion. His combat maneuvers are comparable to that of Shin's, as they committed mutual destruction during their joint training sessions. His future sight also helps in avoiding potentially fatal situations.

Footnotes[]

  1. His name is consistently written as Olivia (オリヴィア, Orivia?) in the original text, with no difference in spelling at any point after he was introduced. The different spellings of Olivier and Olivia are liberties taken by Yen Press' editor. The translator has since voiced his disagreement with the addition. His name has been reverted to Olivia in Volume 8.
