The Mk. 1 Armée Furieuse (アルメ・フュリウーズ, Arume Fyuriūzu?) is an electromagnetic catapult similar to that of the Zentaur and the flight deck of the Stella Maris. It is used for launching light Feldreẞ into the air, such as the Reginleif, Stollenwurm, and Alkonost.
Nomenclature[]
The Armée Furieuse is French for the "Ghost Riders", one of the many alternate names of the Wild Hunt. It is specifically referring to the army of spectral soldiers led by Odin (Báleygr). This is intended to draw parallels with the Eighty-Sixth Strike Package led by Shinei Nouzen, who is also referred to as Báleygr.
Description[]
The Armée Furieuse itself is said to rival the Morpho in terms of size with its length of 40 meters. When deployed, the catapult's set of 90 meter long rails, equipped with plow-shaped recoil absorbers, are pointed towards the sky. The catapult is able to be folded similarly to a pair of wings for ease of storage. The coat of paint sported by the machine is gunmetal black, honoring its namesake of the ghost riders.[2]
